Lovely walks can be started straight from the house. After a few minutes strolling along the River Tillingham, you can enjoy the lovely views across fields, meandering rivers and valley to the sea.

From Ashford or Dover - There are 4 roads out of Rye. After entering Rye on the A259 cross a bridge over the River Rother. After about 100 yards you will approach a small roundabout. Turn left when you will come across another small roundabout, this time turn right, following the signpost B2069 direction Battle. When the road becomes 2 lanes stay in the left hand lane. Cross the level crossing at Rye train station and you will be in Ferry Road. 100 yards on the right is the corner of Tillingham Avenue.
From Hastings on the A259 - When entering Rye you will approach a small roundabout, go straight on following the signpost B2069 direction Battle. When the road becomes 2 lanes stay in the left hand lane. Cross the level crossing at Rye train station and you will be in Ferry Road. 100 yards on the right is the corner of Tillingham Avenue.
By train: When you come out of Rye train station turn right and walk to the level crossing. (You see a windmill in front of you.) Cross the level crossing. You will find us about 100 yards down this road on the right side. It is only a 3-minute walk.
