Strand House
Strand House lies just outside the ancient town of Winchelsea and two miles from the historic town of Rye. A Tudor House set in a beautiful woodland garden with views over the marshes to the sea and the Royal Military Canal. Inside the rooms are full of character mixed with modern elegance: an open fireplace in the lounge, bedrooms with oak beams and lattice windows, winding stairs and little nooks and crannies. The bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, colour television, tea making facilities, WiFi access and lots of little extras.
Food is at the heart of the house with a Sussex breakfast in the morning, afternoon tea on the lawn, and in the evening, dinner cooked with local organic meat and fish from Rye Bay.
There is a resident’s bar and wines available.
Strand House is ideally placed as a base for exploring the many National Trust houses and gardens in the area, two railways for steam enthusiasts or local walks along the beach, cycle routes or bird watching.
A house of calm to while away the hours.

Road Directions
From M25 take A21 southbound to Flimwell, follow A268 to Rye and then A259 towards Hastings. Strand House is located approximately 2 miles outside Rye.
From Junction 10 M20 follow A2070 to Brenzett, then A259 to Rye/Winchelsea. Approximately 30-35 miles from channel ports and tunnel.
Public Transport Directions
Rail: Regular service from Ashford International Station (25 minutes) to Rye or Winchelsea Stations. London-Ashford 1-1 1/2 hours.
